Children’s Books About Gardens

Today I’m sharing our favorite children’s books about gardens. For Earth Day this year we planted tomato and cucumber seeds to create a small garden in our backyard. My daughter absolutely loved planting the seeds and she constantly asked “Is it growing yet? Did it grow!?” See our fun Earth Day event on Instagram.

We are all about keeping learning fun. So when my kids are interested in a particular activity or topic I try to incorporate it into our play. Our daughter is really into gardening, vegetables and seeds! We took a trip the library and found our favorite children’s books about gardens.

While she is interested in gardening and learning about the Earth, we thought it would be appropriate to also teach her about sustainability and reusing items. How cute is this reusable tote from Snapfish? Great for the Earth and our library books 🙂 See more at the end of the post for a special 60% off discount code!

As a part of our Earth Day exploration we also learned about recycling and reusing. Izzy was so excited when she saw her picture on this everyday canvas tote. She couldn’t wait to take it to the library to fill it up with books. We also personalized a travel mug with our Earth day photos. Of course every busy mom needs a travel mug of coffee or tea. Perfect for library trips. Please tell me my kids aren’t the only ones who run up and down the aisles while screaming!? This mama needs more coffee!

Finally, we love creating personalized photo gifts at Snapfish because it’s so easy. It’s also adorable to see my kids smiling faces each time I take a sip of my coffee.
