2 Month Update

Our baby boy is 2 months old! Wow. Some days it feels like he has been in our lives forever and other days I feel like he was just born. He has grown so much since my last update. At his 2 month doctor’s appointment he weighed 16 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 25 inches long. I remember explaining to parents when I was a school psychologist the difference between percent and percentile. IJ is in the 99th percentile for height and weight. This means out of 100 babies, there is only 1 baby bigger than him. I thought Izzy was big at 2 months, but he is a full 2 pounds heavier! He wears mostly 3-6 month and 6 month clothing. He is growing too quickly out of some of my favorite outfits.

Overall, he is a very happy and content baby. He smiles a lot and my husband thinks his smile is similar to mine. It brightens up my day when he gives me a big grin. It is amazing to me how much he watches his sister already. Whenever she is around he follows her with his eyes and seems curious about her. She loves getting up close and personal when he is nursing. Thankfully he doesn’t seem to mind and he just watches her. 

IJ is a pleasant baby and I think his personality is somewhat relaxed. A lot of the time he is very calm. Although he seems to enjoy sleep he sometimes has a difficult time getting himself back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night. We are working on this though 🙂 

It’s exciting to see his personality develop and I’m looking forward to more milestones. I’m not sure how close he is to rolling, but he has been doing the superman move and rocking back and forth lately. Ah!
