Almost There Pregnancy Update!

Ah! I can’t believe we are only a few weeks away from meeting our baby boy. It’s really starting to hit me now and I’m going into prepare mode. The nursery is finished and I’ve completed most things on my third trimester to do list. Today I got a haircut and pedicure. Doesn’t it feel good to be pampered sometimes? I don’t want to admit this because I’m praying this baby isn’t two weeks late like his sister, but I don’t feel totally uncomfortable yet. Does that mean it will still be a while? 

How am I feeling?

I’m feeling excited and nervous. There is something about that new baby smell! I can’t wait to experience it with baby boy in a few weeks. At the same time I remember how difficult labor and delivery was with Izzy so I’m feeling a little nervous. I have been praying for a smoother labor this time around and as you may have read I’ve been meditating on God’s word with my labor vision board. In some ways I can’t wait to not be pregnant anymore because let’s just be honest, it is uncomfortable. At the same time, I remember the sleepless nights and that isn’t my favorite part of motherhood. 

What am I craving? 

My cravings seem to have slowed down a little bit. I am definitely experiencing more heartburn this time around and now that I’m toward the end of the third trimester I’m noticing I don’t want to eat as much. If I overeat it’s super uncomfortable. I’ve been loving cold iced tea though. Praying these dates and red raspberry leaf tea help with labor and reduce my chances of being induced again.

How I’m changing?

My belly is huge. I still can’t decide if it’s bigger this time around or with Izzy. What do you think? I’ve gained about the same amount of weight with both pregnancies. Izzy and I have been swimming a lot this summer which is amazing when you are pregnant! Besides occasional swollen feet and a growing belly not much has changed.

What am I looking forward to?

Tomorrow I have another doctor’s appointment and a growth ultrasound. We only had one other ultrasound around 20 weeks when we found out it was a boy. I can’t wait to see our baby and hopefully hear he is coming soon!
