Weleda Natural Skin Care
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Weleda. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. All opinions and reviews are my own.
I’ve shared before that my daughter experiences patches of eczema on her skin in the winter months. I have sensitive skin myself and our pediatrician shared that is is very common for young children to experience eczema. As a family, we try to find natural products for our skin because chemical and toxins can be absorbed into your skin and bloodstream without you even knowing.
Overall, we strive to find products that are safe for our whole family. I originally found the Weleda Baby Derma White Mallow Collection on Amazon a few months ago. When we were asked to review all three products we were so excited because we already loved the body lotion. The Baby Derma collection is dermatologically tested, fragrance-free and ideal for children with highly sensitive skin. Most importantly, after using the products consistently for a few weeks, we noticed an improvement in our daughter’s eczema patches!
I thought it would be helpful to give a brief overview of each of the Weleda products:
- Body Lotion: As I said before we have been using this lotion for months. It smells amazing even though it is fragerance-free. Although the cream isn’t super thick it helped our daughter’s patches of eczema. You have to be diligent about using it everyday or else you won’t see the improvement. I love that this collection uses the power of organic white mallow extract, coconut oil and sweet almond oil to calm and soothe irritated skin. The White Mallow Body Lotion is 95% organic.
- Face Cream: The face cream has the same light, barely there scent. Our daughter is a finger sucker and often gets a red cheek because of it. This face cream is perfect to soothe her baby sensitive skin. I even started using it on my face as I am prone to dry skin! The White Mallow Face Cream is 97% organic.
- Diaper Rash Cream: I have to be honest I can’t remember our daughter ever really having severe diaper rash. Although she has sensitive skin she almost never experiences redness in the diaper area. I opened the diaper cream to get a sense of the smell and consistency. If our daughter or our new baby gets diaper rash, I will certainly be using this sensitive cream. The White Mallow Diaper Rash Cream is 86% organic.
A few more tips on baby eczema. Our doctor reminded us how important it is to get lotion all of our baby’s body as soon as she gets out of the bath. That is when her skin loses a lot of it’s moisture. Bond with your baby or toddler during your skincare routine. We often sing songs together. Before we had Izzy we used Weleda products for adults. Although this is a sponsored post, I am a true believer in their products. I was initially drawn to Weleda’s products because they use mostly organic ingredients and I found their lotions and soaps had soothing qualities.
