Jesus is My Valentine

Valentine’s day can be a wonderful time to share your love with others. But I also remember many years where I disliked Valentine’s day. I thought I didn’t have anyone special to share it with and if I only had a Valentine my life would be so much better. I still think this holiday is somewhat over commercialized and silly, but at the same time love is something to celebrate.

Jesus is the greatest Valentine of all! This Valentine's Day rest in His love.

Whether or not you have someone special on Earth, you always have the greatest Valentine of all in Heaven, Jesus! He died so that you may have life, he carefully knit you together in your mother’s womb and he rejoices over you. If nothing else I pray you rest in Jesus’ love this day. This morning I turned on praise and worship music to help motivate me to clean and you know what as I listened and saw our daughter start dancing I was overwhelmed with God’s love. He is so good!! He hears when we call his name and he heals every part of our broken body. Jesus came not to condemn the world, but to save it. He wants to shower you with blessings and overflow your heart with love. All you need to do is turn toward Him.

Jesus is my Valentine forever!

Jesus is my Valentine, the best love of all! This Valentine's Day rest in His love.

Words to remember and meditate on this Valentine’s Day:

  • The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)
  • But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15 (NLT)
  • Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. Deuteronomy 7:9 (NLT)
  • I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderful made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.  Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)
