Inspiring Words Coloring Book + Giveaway
Whoever started the adult coloring books trend was a genius! I love all the different illustrations and inspirational coloring pages on the market. I enjoy art, but I don’t really consider myself artistic. I can’t draw to save my life. But coloring I can do. I was so excited to review Inspiring Words from Zondervan and to find a creative release.
One reason I’m super excited about this book is because it’s biblically based. The first time I went to Michael’s I had a hard time finding a Christian coloring book. It may be a personal preference, but I wasn’t really in to the mystical, enchanted coloring books I was seeing. A few of them featured art from Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. I wanted something inspirational, but biblical.
This brings me to Inspiring Words from Zondervan. It includes 30 verses from the Bible that you can color. I love the designs and the uplifting scripture they brought to life. One of my all time favorite verses to pray over my children is Psalm 121. I was excited to find a page featuring verses 1-2. Coloring really is relaxing. It can take your mind off the stress of the day and it releases a creative energy. Our God is a beautiful creator and I believe he put inside all of us a desire to create. If you are like me and feel like you aren’t an artist you can still create by coloring. I also love that the pages in this book are perforated so you can easily tear out a page. If I really take my time coloring I think I could frame a finished one! But don’t stress yourself out over perfect coloring and finding the best colors. That misses the point. Take on a childlike mindset, have fun and just do it.
