Blueberry Picking

A few weeks ago we went strawberry picking with our daughter and she was in fruit heaven! She absolutely loved strutting up and down the rows with her basket full of strawberries. We’ve never been blueberry picking before so when we found out a local farm had pick your own blueberries we made a plan to go. Thankfully my husband was able to come with us this time. It isn’t easy wearing a baby and bending over to help your toddler pick fruit. He got to spend some time with IJ while I helped Izzy find the best berries.

Blueberries were a little easier for her to pick because it was more obvious which ones were ripe. Just go after the big blue ones! When we went strawberry picking she didn’t always pick the ripe strawberries. That being said picking blueberries is somewhat tedious. I was a little over ambitious and brought two big baskets for us to fill. We only ended up filling one because you have to pick each small berry one at a time.
